This book is the second of a series of three books designed to assist students who want to develop English skills in the area of economics. The book uses macroeconomics concepts and terminology, as well as teaching skills and strategies, to provide students with the knowledge necessary to understand and analyze macroeconomics readings. This edition includes more extensive vocabulary exercises in addition to a new English-to-English Vocabulary List. It also includes a structured writing component. The book is aimed at intermediate to advanced learners who already have a good foundation in English vocabulary and grammar, as well as some knowledge of introductory macroeconomics in their native language. An important feature of the book is the Glossary which explains the important terms in English. This new edition has been thoroughly revised. While the structure of the book remains the same, the majority of the passages have been replaced or rewritten to reflect changes and developments in the field over the past decade. A new unit on economic integration highlights the development of the European Union and the challenges it faces.
Other books in the series include “English for Students of Economics: General Economics” and English for Students of Economics: Microeconomics”.
