Nicholas Apergis received his Ph.D. degree in economics from Fordham University, USA in 1992. He is a Lecturer of Macroeconomics in the Economics Department at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. His published research -in international journals, such as the journal of Banking and Finance, the journal of Economic Studies, Applied Economics, and the journal of International Financial Markets, Money and Institutions, as well as in international conferences- has investigated a variety of issues in macroeconomics and in macro-finance foudations, including the relationship of the sources of business cycles, the impact of the behaviour of macro-foundamentals on asset prices, and the investigation of certain regularities in the foreign exchange market.
