Dr C.P. Halvadakis is presently Professor of Environmental Engineering in the Department of Environmental Studies, University of Aegean, Mytilene. Greece. He holds B.Sc. Degree in Chemical Engineering from University of New Mexico (USA) and a M.Sc. And PH.D. in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University (USA). His research interests include methanogenesis, regional, small-scale urban and industrial waste management systems, waste reclamation and utilization and siting of waste management units. He has over 30 years of environmental engineering research, teaching, consulting and design experience and has worked in various countries (US, Iran, Belgium, Costa Rica and Greece). His published work includes numerous journal articles, books, technical reports and teaching materials.
